Saudi Ministry Launches "National Cultural Policy Challenge"

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture has launched the Cultural Innovation Challenge, an interactive hackathon aimed at involving the broader cultural community in shaping future policy decisions.

The initiative seeks to boost development within the Kingdom’s cultural sector by encouraging participation from experts, creatives, and enthusiasts both locally and internationally. Participants will pitch innovative ideas to help guide policy-making in the cultural sphere.

Open to a wide range of applicants including innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, public policy professionals, university students, and government employees, the challenge promotes inclusive engagement.

Held under the patronage of Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the ministry has allocated more than SR500,000 ($133,000) in prizes for winning proposals.

Interested participants can register until mid-June via the Ministry of Culture’s official website at: www.moc.gov.sa.
